Smoke Alarms: Essential for Home Safety Awareness

Staff Report / CGlocal.org

Fire Prevention Week is approaching next month with the campaign theme “Smoke Alarms – Make Them Work for YOU!” The Casa Grande Fire Department encourages residents to understand the importance of having working smoke alarms in their homes.

It is recommended to install smoke alarms in each bedroom and outside sleeping areas. Residents are advised to test their smoke alarms monthly by pressing the test button and to replace them every 10 years. Additionally, it is important to create a home fire escape plan so that everyone knows how to evacuate safely.

For further information, individuals can contact the Casa Grande Fire Department at 520-421-8777 ext. 5980.
