Eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard Runs beneath Taxiway U Bridge

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport says a new eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard section now runs beneath the Taxiway U bridge.

Starting at 10 p.m. Sunday, May 10, drivers on Buckeye Road or Copperhead Drive heading to eastbound Sky Harbor Boulevard will shift onto the reconfigured stretch before merging with the current lanes.

This area is an active construction zone, so drivers should use caution and follow posted signs.

The shift is a milestone in the Taxiway U project, which will connect the north and south airfields on the west side of the airport to improve safety and efficiency.
