Man Arrested After Stolen Motorcycle Found in U-Haul

**New Mexico State Police Arrest Man After Locating Stolen Motorcycle in U-Haul Truck**

Lordsburg, NM – On November 21, 2024, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) used Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology to apprehend a suspect driving a stolen U-Haul truck that contained a stolen motorcycle.

At approximately 7:45 a.m., NMSP dispatch received an alert from the ALPR system regarding a stolen 2017 U-Haul truck registered out of Tucson, AZ. The truck was detected traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near mile marker 22.

By 8:30 a.m., an NMSP officer located the stolen U-Haul truck parked at a Dollar General store in Lordsburg. The driver was identified as 37-year-old Jeremy Gonzales from Tucson, AZ. During the investigation, officers discovered a stolen 2016 Honda motorcycle inside the U-Haul.

Jeremy Gonzales was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and was subsequently booked into the Hidalgo County Detention Center.
