Suspect Arrested in Tucson Drug and Weapon Bust

A suspect was arrested in Tucson on Wednesday, November 13, following the efforts of the Arizona State Gang Task Force (GIITEM). This arrest is linked to multiple weapon and drug-related offenses.

Detectives executed two search warrants during this operation. They seized several firearms, including two fully automatic Thompson submachine guns, four 9mm pistols, one AK-47 rifle, and one AR-15 short barrel rifle. Additionally, the detectives confiscated significant quantities of illegal drugs: 110 grams of fentanyl, 15 grams of heroin, 137 grams of methamphetamine, and 192 grams of cocaine.

GIITEM is a multi-agency task force under the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) that focuses on suppressing criminal gangs and transnational crime. The task force collaborates with citizens and various agencies while utilizing intelligence resources in their efforts.
